The Board

The Board of Mediation and Arbitration of Florianópolis - CAMAF, is a civil entity, founded on January 22, 2002, under the name of the 1st Court Mediation and Arbitration of Florianópolis - TMJAF, composed of professionals with multidisciplinary training (lawyers, administrators, accountants, psychologists, among other professions), qualified to mediate and arbitrate conflicts, be they individuals or corporations, locally, nationally and internationally.

It is an independent entity, without any link with economic groups, professional or business and has been dedicated permanently to perform the Mediation and Arbitration impartially.

The activities developed by the Board are supported by Federal Law No. 9.307/96 of 23 September 1996, authored by Senator Marco Maciel of the Republic, including the resolution of disputes concerning property rights available that offers the following advantages for the parties in relation to the common law:

What Why
SPEED The Act provides a maximum of six months to resolve the dispute. However, the parties may agree on a period even shorter.
ECONOMY The costs are more affordable than those charged in the state justice and will be fixed in advance and informed parties.
SECRECY In addition to the parts, only the arbitrators selected for the process are aware of its content, unlike the state where fairness is the public process.
ENVIRONMENT It seeks to preserve existing relationships, providing an environment more flexible and less formal than the one in state justice.

The values ​​keep us informed about what to do and what not to do. They are the principles that guide our lives in relation to personal and social aiming for - such as salvation and peace - and with regard to moral conduct and personal competence - such as honesty and imagination.

ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE

The CAMAF is structured and organized under the aegis of the Federal Law N º. 9.307/96, it marks his actions following the provisions set forth in its Bylaws, Rules of Mediation and Arbitration Rules of Procedure of the Boards and Code of Ethics, which include the following deliberative and executive:

WHO WHAT MAKES
GENERAL ASSEMBLY The General Assembly is the supreme decision of the institution, taking powers within the limits of the law and statutes, to take any decision of social interest.
HIGH COUNCIL The Board is the body that is responsible to supervise the Board in all his actions and assignments, monitor compliance with the Statute and Regulations, analyze balance sheets, financial statements and opinion of the General Assembly for approval, review and opinion to the Assembly General proposals for agreements submitted by the Executive Board, among others.
EXECUTIVE The Executive Board is the body that is responsible to plan, implement, monitor and coordinate with the Chairman and executive directors of the Chamber activities.
ETHICS COMMITTEE The Ethics Commission is the body that competes in first. analyze the degree of disciplinary actions involving members and also help in the selection and maintenance of membership.

MISSION

The MISSION is to determine the central theme of strategic planning, ie the determination of "where the organization wants to go." Corresponds to a horizon within which the organization operates or may operate.

Mission is a way of translating certain system of values ​​in terms of beliefs or basic areas of activity, considering the traditions and philosophy of the organization. Strategic Planning page. 96
